Family weekend

This past weekend we got in a lot of family time with my family and Jeremy's family.

Saturday we had Ryan's 5th birthday party.  I honestly can't believe he is 5!  So much so that when I was picking out his birthday card I started looking at the 4th birthday cards before it hit me that he isn't 4 he is 5.  He is growing up too fast!  His party was at Catch Air and all of the kids had a great time.  Ryan ran from one end of the room to the other so I was only able to get a few pictures of him, but that is how it should be since he should have fun at his own party!

Eating lunch and taking a break from playing

The party was a lot of fun and I think everyone was worn out after it was over.  Later that day Bennett got some one on one time with Pop Pop and he had a great time with him!  It also gave Jeremy and I some one on one time with Walker which was nice since we don't get that opportunity very often.

Sunday was another fun day because Gigi, Papa Daddy, Uncle Josh, Aunt Tamara, and Carder came over to celebrate mine and Jeremy's birthday.  Bennett kept talking about everyone that was coming over and was really excited that Carder was coming over to play.  He was pretty disappointed when everyone had to leave to go home!

Cousins!  It was difficult to get a good picture of the 3 of them.

It was a great weekend and I love that we were able to see all of our family!!

3 months!

I feel like I just posted about Walker turning 2 months old.  Time is going fast and this sweet boy is now 3 months old.  I weighed him with me on our scale the other day and he is already 17 pounds.  He is a big boy and so chubby and cuddly!  I love it!

He is still a great sleeper, we have gotten so lucky with him.  He is better about being in his car seat and makes getting out easier so we are getting out and about a lot more now.  The only thing we need to work on are his bottle taking skills.  He would prefer to nurse then take a bottle and there have been a couple of times that we have been out and he has refused a bottle so I have to nurse him in the car.  I found some new bottles that he seems to like better and so far they are working.  He took two bottles this weekend with no problem.

I can't complain though he really is the easiest baby, so if he refuses a bottle every now and then so be it.  I can deal with that!!

Walker Found his Thumb

I was a thumb sucker as a kid and it looks like I have passed down this habit to my boys.  Bennett started sucking his thumb around 2 months old and Walker is following in the same footsteps.

I don't mind that they suck their thumbs because they can self soothe.  I might regret saying that when I am sitting in the orthodontist office shelling out hundreds of dollars to straighten their teeth, but who doesn't get braces anymore so oh well!

Burt's Pumpkin Farm

Today we made our annual visit up to Burt's to pick out our pumpkins.  We got lucky because today it finally felt like fall which made the trip that much better.  I asked Bennett if he wanted to pick out a pumpkin and he told me that he wanted to get a blue one.  I told him they didn't have blue ones so he asked for a black one.  I had to explain to him his only color option is really orange, they have white and grey ones at Burt's, but lets face it when it comes to pumpkins orange is really the one color you get!  He kept insisting on a black one and then I remembered they sell acorn squash that look like little pumpkins and are a really dark green color, so Bennett ended up with his "black" pumpkin.  He did end up picking out some good looking orange ones too.

Pop Pop with 2 of his grandsons...I love this picture!

On the hayride... Yes Walker has a pink blanket, I forgot one and it was cold on the hayride so sweet Ella loaned us hers.

Sweet cousins

Love these 3!

After the pumpkin farm we all went out to lunch.  Today was such a fun day with our family and Walker's first visit of many to Burt's.  He was such a trooper and did great all day.  After lunch we got home and Bennett was so tired he asked to go down for his nap.  I fed Walker and put him down and he slept for over 3 1/2 hours.  They were both worn out from our big day!!!
